Normal working hours over a seven-day period consists of 40 hours weekly, and 8 hours daily.

Parental Leave

• Maternity Leave: employees are entitled to 126 days' paid maternity leave. It can reach to 140 days under certain conditions. Additionally, employers must provide 3 years’ unpaid maternity leave where they hold the position. If another child is born during this period, the maternity leave entitlement will be granted again.
• Paternity Leave: employees are entitled to 14 days of unpaid leave in the first six months after the birth of a child

Sick Leave

Employees receive 80% of their average daily earnings for the first 12 days of incapacity.

Contracts can be terminated by any party and only be carried out under certain circumstances.

Severance payments are determined in the employment contract but generally should amount to 2 weeks of the employee’s average salary.

Notice Period

In Belarus, the minimum required notice period is 1 month's written notice.
