Paid Time Off
Standard paid time off is 24 calendar days per year and does not includes public holidays. Paid time off is calculated as 2 days per month.

Individual Income Tax
In Ukraine, income tax range is 20% of the employee's salary.
Employer cost is approximately 22% of the employee's salary.
Employment contract details
All documents required during the onboarding must be presented to the local authorities. Bilingual contracts are allowed and recommended.
There is not a minimum for probationary period, however the maximum probationary period is 3 months. Deel's standard is 3 months.
Maximum working hours and overtime
Standard working hours are 8 hours per day, and 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
Overtime is paid as a double rate.
The minimum salary in Ukraine is UAH 6,000 and in December will increase to UAH 6,500.
- Maternity leave: employees are entitled to 70 calendar days before the birth and 56 calendar days after the child is born. Payment is fully done by the Social Insurance Fund (state fund).
- Paternity leave: employees are entitled to 14 calendar days of leave to take on the first 3 months since the birth of the child. Payment is fully done by the Social Insurance Fund (state fund).
Employees are entitled to sick leave and the period will depend on the authorities. First 5 days of sick leave must be paid by the employer. After the 5th day, the Social Insurance Fund will be responsible for the payment.
Termination requirements for employees
For terminations, a decision regarding dismissal must be made in the form of a written order, signed by the company or a representative. The employee is to be provided with a copy of the dismissal order and his/her labour book on the last day of his employment. Contracts might be terminated with clause or without clause. Is not usually allowed to terminate a contract if the employee is on annual leave or sick leave.
Severance: is a cash benefit to an employee who is dismissed from work not on his own initiative, which is paid by the employer. The amount of severance pay depends on the circumstances under which the employment contract is terminated and the amount of the employee's average earnings or his specific earnings in the two-week period before dismissal.
Standard notice period is 2 weeks for both sides unless the employer needs to terminate the agreement with clause. During probation period, notice period is 3 days.
