Paid Time Off
In Argentina, employees are entitled to paid holidays based on the length of the labor relationship:
- 6 months to 5 year of employment - 2 weeks’ paid leave
- 5 - 10 years of employment - 3 weeks' paid leave
- 10 - 20 years of employment - 4 weeks’ paid leave
- +20 years of employment - 35 days paid leave
Employees that do not meet this threshold are entitled to 1 vacation day for every 20 days effectively worked.

Employment Contract Details
Employment contracts must be in writing and in Spanish.
The maximum probation period is 3 months.
During the probationary period, the employer or the employee may terminate the agreement without cause upon 15-day notice.
Minimum Wage Requirements
The Minimum Wage in Argentina is ARS 33,000 per month.
Maximum working hours and overtime
Normal working hours are 48 hours per week (Monday-Friday) 8 hours per day + 1 hour per day for lunch.
Overtime does not apply to managerial roles and it is only allowed if previously authorized by the employer.
Bonus and Expense Payments
In Argentina, there is a statutory requirement to pay a 13th salary bonus a year, half is paid in June and the remaining part in December.
- Mothers are granted from 45 days before to 45 days after birth, and should be at least 30 days. During maternity leave, employees receive an allowance equal to 100% of the average salaries, paid by the state.
- Fathers are entitled to 2 paid business days funded by the employer.
Sick leave in Argentina depends on the length of the labor relationship and if the employees have dependents under their care. Does not include illness and injuries derived from work. It rages from 3 months to 1 year of sick paid leave under the employer's cost. After that period the employer needs to keep the position available for an additional year under unpaid leave.
Termination requirements for employees in
Contracts ca be terminated by any party with or without cause. Any not taken holidays and accrued 13th salary must be paid out upon termination.
Severance pay is based on the length of the labor relationship and notice period given:
- 1 - 3 months of employment - 2 weeks' wages
- 3 months - 5 years of employment - 1 month's wages
- 5+ years of employment - 2 months' wages
Notice period is based on the length of the labor relationship:
- 1 - 3 months of employment (Probation period) - 15 days' notice
- 3 months - 5 years of employment - 1 month's notice
- 5+ years of employment - 2 months' notice
